Girls Speak Out

Join us on October 9, 2026, as we celebrate the 13th Anniversary of Girls Speak Out and continue advancing equality, accelerating action, and amplifying girls’ voices.

Girls Speak Out 2026 is a strategic advocacy intervention for the International Day of the Girl, convening girls, Member States, and UN agencies to convene in New York with a focus on girls.

As the world moves toward 2030—and progress on gender equality remains off track—Girls Speak Out positions girls not as beneficiaries, but as political actors and co-architects of policy and accountability.

THIS YEAR'S THEME

"Girls Speak Out: Advancing Equality, Accelerating Action — Building a World Where Girls Thrive,"

aligns with the momentum toward the Commission on the Status of Women 71 (CSW71).

The event will serve as the public launch of the Girls’ Shadow Report on CSW71, spotlighting where SDG progress is failing girls and translating global commitments into clear, girl-led policy demands. Through an intergenerational townhall grounded in lived experience, evidence, and accountability, Girls Speak Out 2026 will drive concrete commitments and elevate girl-led solutions to accelerate action across the Sustainable Development Goals.
